MineSweeper Wins CEAA Project Team of the Year Award

On March 28, 2008, the Cornell Engineering Alumni Association (CEAA) awarded Cornell Minesweeper the title of Project Team of the Year. In addition to receiving a prize of $1,000, CMS was honored at a CEAA alumni awards banquet and dinner event in Kennedy Hall. Team leader Hamzah Sikander and previous team leader Vikkas Reddy both attended the commemoration and brought the CMS robot,as well as CMS posters, to display to former Cornellians. CEAA alumni showered the two CMS leaders with praise and received CMS information packets, which will allow these people to learn more about CMS’s mission and keep in touch with the project team. Overall it was a successful night of celebration and networking for the CMS team.
